Reflections by a Surgeon Half-Retired - One of the Emeritus Editors writes some considerations regarding events happening during his professional life

Abstract

One of the Emeritus Editors, surgeon who has done great part of his Career in the public sector, from which he has retired, working now only in the private sector, present his opinions about several areas of hospital medical and surgical practice. For about 3 decades
he has been watching changes and its implications on persons, professionals, economy, in the existing health system and in patients, caused by these successive adaptations as well as on the impact of all technical and scientific innovations introduced meanwhile.
