Tumores Neuroendócrinos: Requesitos Mínimos para o Diagnóstico Clínico
Abstract
Although neuroendocrine tumors of digestive tract are still rare, their incidence had increased 5-fold in the last 30 years. It seems that this burden is real and not only secondary to the improvement of diagnostic skills. Therefore, it is important to promote them near the medical community and the population in general, alerting for the symptoms, that although they are inicially vague, can lead to early detection if there is a high index of suspicion. Establishing minimal requirements for the clinical diagnosis can help to systematize and uniform the management of these tumors leading to a timely and correct treatment.
